Telford 10K 2026

The Telford International Centre will host the UK's fastest certified 10k course on Sunday, December 13th, 2026. Known for its exceptional flat terrain and swift times, this race takes place along the scenic Silkin Way, a former railway line now transformed into an ideal running pathway, complemented by laps around Telford Town Park.
Race headquarters will be situated at the heart of the International Centre, ensuring easy access to all participants. The event is meticulously organized under UK Athletics licensing and features precise course measurement, guaranteeing fair competition for runners aiming to achieve personal bests or set new records.
Each finisher can look forward to receiving a bespoke metal medal as they cross the line, symbolizing their achievement in this challenging yet rewarding race. Entry waves are carefully timed based on anticipated finishing times:
- 10:15 AM: Elite men and select runners aiming for 28 to 31 minutes.
- 10:40 AM: Elite ladies and additional male/female participants targeting between 30.30 and 37 minutes.
- 11:15 AM: Further waves for those expecting finishes from around 31 to 41 minutes.
- 11:50 AM: The final wave welcoming runners of all abilities, with no time limit in place.
The race boasts impressive records set by Jack Rowe (28:01) and Samantha Harrison (31:10), both achieved under optimal conditions. Since 2021, the Telford 10k has consistently seen more sub-30-minute male runners than any other UK event, with a record-breaking 58 finishers in that category in 2024.
Elite athletes meeting specific qualifying times can secure automatic entry into their respective waves. Cash prizes are awarded exclusively in the elite categories, offering substantial rewards:
- First Place: £600
- Second Place: £400
- Third Place: £300
- Fourth Place: £150
- Fifth Place: £75
Additionally, a special prize of £400 is given to any athlete who breaks the course record. Masters category prizes are also available for first-place finishers in each decade from 20 onwards.
The event's route was meticulously measured and certified by UK Athletics officials following minor adjustments made due to unforeseen circumstances last year.
