WYRE FOREST FESTIVE TRAIL EVENT

Immerse yourself in the enchanting winter landscape of Wyre Forest for the Wyre Forest Festive Trail Runs on December 13th, 2026. This celebration of nature and community is set within one of England's most significant ancient woodlands, offering a unique blend of scenic trails and festive cheer.
Nestled in Worcestershire near Bewdley, Wyre Forest spans vast stretches of oak woodland that are not only ecologically vital but also provide an ideal backdrop for runners to explore. The forest is known for its rich biodiversity and serene atmosphere, making it perfect for a winter outing.
The event features three distinct runs catering to various age groups:
- Family 1 Mile Run: Open to children aged 3–11, accompanied by a free entry adult. This run provides an introduction to the trail experience in a fun and engaging manner.

- 5km Trail Run: Suitable for runners aged 11+, this event also welcomes canicross enthusiasts with their well-controlled dogs.
- 10km Trail Run: Designed for more experienced athletes, this route is open to those aged 15+ and allows participants to bring along a canine companion as well.
All finishers will enjoy the festive spirit at the conclusion of their run. The 5km and 10km runners can look forward to receiving an event medal, Wild Deer merchandise, mince pies, chocolates, and refreshments. Meanwhile, those completing the Family Mile will also receive a medal along with a drink and selection box.
Participants are encouraged to park on-site at subsidized rates, payable via Forestry England machines after their run. The start times for all events are scheduled around 10:00am, though exact timings may be confirmed closer to the event date through pre-event emails.
