About the Event

Join us for the fifth edition of Le Grand Roseau, set to take place on Saturday, July 24, 2027. This annual race continues its mission to raise awareness and funds for the fight against multiple sclerosis through a day filled with running events, family activities, and community spirit.
The main attractions are two timed races: a challenging 7 km run and an even more demanding 15 km route. Both courses cater to runners aged from cadets (ages 16-17) upwards, offering athletes of various levels the chance to push their limits on varied terrain that includes sections typical for trail running.
For those who prefer walking or want a less strenuous option, there's also a leisurely 7 km walk. The event caters to young participants with special children’s races: a shorter 750m course and an extended 1500m run designed specifically for schoolchildren from CM1-CM2 (born in 2016-2017) and Collège students born between 2012-2015.
The day kicks off with a family-friendly atmosphere as children's races start at 3:20 PM, followed by the main event starting from 5:00 PM. All participants are encouraged to gather for a collective warm-up session before embarking on their respective courses.
Throughout both race distances and the walk, runners will find well-placed refreshment stations along the way. The terrain varies widely, offering scenic views of nature while challenging racers with diverse landscapes typical of trail running conditions. Runners should consider wearing appropriate footwear based on weather forecasts for optimal performance.
After crossing the finish line, participants can enjoy a variety of food options available at the site including galettes-saucisses and sweet crepes. Payment is accepted by both card or cash. The event concludes with an evening concert open to all attendees, providing a festive atmosphere that celebrates community spirit and camaraderie.
All proceeds from Le Grand Roseau go towards supporting 'Une Oasis pour la SEP', an association dedicated to the fight against multiple sclerosis. Join us on July 24th for what promises to be another memorable day of sport and solidarity.
