LDWA Jurassic Hundred 2027

The 54th edition of the LDWA’s annual 100 mile challenge, known as the Jurassic Hundred, will take place over the late May bank holiday weekend in 2027. Organized by the Cornwall and Devon Group, this event starts and finishes in Axminster, a historic town nestled along the East Devon coast. Participants will traverse through stunning landscapes, including the World Heritage Jurassic Coast and the picturesque East Devon National Landscape.
The route begins with an eastern trek into Dorset before reaching the charming coastal town of Lyme Regis. From there, runners follow the South West Coast Path’s undulating terrain to Exmouth, where they turn north along the Exe Estuary. The course then veers inland through rolling hills and river valleys, crossing heathland and scenic countryside back towards Axminster.
Expect steep climbs offering breathtaking views of the coastline and lush greenery, weather permitting. This challenging yet rewarding journey is marked by a warm welcome from local communities at various points along the way.
