Join us at Sideshore as local school choirs perform Christmas carols throughout the route, filling the air with joyous melodies while you walk, jog or run along Exmouth’s scenic coastline. The event is designed to cater to all ages and abilities; there's no pressure to complete any specific distance—simply enjoy the magical atmosphere at your own pace.
Once back at Sideshore, revel in festive entertainment, seasonal refreshments, and a warm community vibe that will leave you feeling truly connected with Exmouth’s vibrant spirit. Every entry contributes directly to The Sideshore Project, an initiative dedicated to providing local children with opportunities for learning, exploration, and well-being through coastal activities.
The 4km route starts and ends at Sideshore, taking runners along the beautiful seafront towards the RNLI Lifeboat Station before returning via Rockfish. Families are welcome to turn back whenever they choose, ensuring that even little legs can enjoy a portion of this delightful journey.
Upon crossing the finish line, participants will be greeted with delicious Christmas flapjacks and warming non-alcoholic festive drinks. This year’s event is generously supported by Damian Charles Mortgages, who have sponsored these treats to enhance everyone's experience on Exmouth seafront.
Entry fees are £8 for adults (over 16), £5 for children (under 16), and a family-friendly option of up to four friends or family members at £23. Children under the age of eleven must be accompanied by an adult, and buggies are welcome throughout the run.
To add even more sparkle to this festive evening, participants are encouraged to come in sustainable Christmas attire—think Santa suits made from recycled materials, elf costumes crafted with creativity, or any other unique way you can bring holiday cheer without harming the environment. The route promises a delightful mix of seafront scenery and community camaraderie.
