Lai Outdoor 2026 Ancient Path Trail Training Race (崃户外·2026古道越野训练赛)

On January 1, 2027, the Lai Outdoor Gu Dao Trail Training Race will take place at the Nanbaoshan Tourism Area Visitor Center in Qionglai City, Sichuan Province. The race offers two challenging courses: Cloud Valley (10KM) and Sunlight Gorge (30KM). Participants can choose from a limited number of spots, with early bird pricing available until September 15.
The scenic Nanbaoshan Tourism Area is renowned for its stunning mountain landscapes, romantic ambiance, rich historical heritage, and forest wellness retreats. Located in Dachong Town, Qionglai City, it sits approximately 100 kilometers from Chengdu's city center, at the transition zone between the Chengdu Plain and the Sichuan Western Plateau.
The Sunlight Gorge (30KM) course features a total elevation gain of 1213 meters over an eight-hour window, starting early on race day. This challenging route is expected to earn participants one ITRA point upon completion. The Cloud Valley (10KM), meanwhile, offers runners a more manageable distance with a cumulative ascent of 261 meters and a three-and-a-half hour cutoff time.
Both courses traverse through dense forests where the air is crisp and clean, surrounded by towering trees such as the dove tree and Chinese yew, which are rare plant species found in this area. The region's average altitude ranges between 1100 to 1300 meters above sea level, boasting a year-round temperature of around 16°C, making it an ideal destination for outdoor enthusiasts seeking respite from the city’s hustle and bustle.
The Nanbaoshan Tourism Area is also part of the Giant Panda Habitat World Natural Heritage site, adding another layer of ecological significance to this already picturesque setting. Runners will have the opportunity not only to test their endurance but also immerse themselves in a breathtaking natural environment that combines adventure with conservation efforts.
