On November 15, 2026, the Lai Outdoor · 2026 Silk Road Mountain and Water Ultra Trail Race will kick off at Pingle Ancient Town in Chengdu City, Sichuan Province. The race offers two challenging routes: "Lugou Bamboo Grove" (20KM) and "Paper Mill Secret Realm" (42KM). Participants can register until the spots are filled on a first-come-first-served basis.
The "Paper Mill Secret Realm" 42KM route, with an actual distance of 42.16KM and cumulative elevation gain of 1798M, starts at 7:00 AM and concludes by 6:00 PM the same day, offering runners a total window of 11 hours to complete their journey. The "Lugou Bamboo Grove" route measures 20.36KM with an elevation gain of 616M, starting at 8:00 AM and finishing before 2:00 PM, providing participants six hours to enjoy the stunning scenery while racing against time.
The race takes place along ancient tea-horse routes and sections of the Southern Silk Road in Pingle Ancient Town.
