The shorter 10KM "踏野寻风" category winds its way along ancient paths and through dense woodland. With a total elevation gain of 500 meters, it offers both families and solo adventurers the chance to explore rugged terrain while enjoying stunning natural scenery from high vantage points. This race begins at 9:00 AM and concludes by 3:00 PM.
The longer "湔谷逐峰" course stretches over 22 kilometers with a cumulative ascent of 1,200 meters. Participants will traverse varied landscapes, passing through lush forests and along winding trails that offer glimpses of towering peaks in the distance. This challenging route also starts at 9:00 AM on December 13th and finishes by 3:00 PM.
Both courses feature undulating terrain with rocky paths and narrow forest tracks, providing a mix of technical challenges and scenic rewards. The event not only celebrates Chengdu's rich cultural heritage but also showcases the region’s natural beauty through its diverse landscapes and panoramic vistas.
Runners can expect to experience moments where they feel as if they are standing at the pinnacle of nature itself, with views that stretch far beyond the immediate surroundings. This unique blend of adventure and exploration makes for an unforgettable day out in one of China's most scenic regions.
