Kelowna Running Club Pub Relay

Step into the heart of Kelowna for the annual Kelowna Running Club Pub Relay, where teams of six runners come together not just to compete but also to celebrate and enjoy the city's vibrant pub scene. This unique race invites participants to don their most creative costumes as they navigate through a series of challenging yet rewarding legs.
On November 7th, 2026, gather at Freddy’s Brewpub in Kelowna for your team registration between 9:15 am and 10:15 am. Here you will receive the race package containing detailed maps that reveal the six distinct legs of the route, each ending at a different pub or brewery across the city.
The relay begins promptly at 10:30 am when all teams set off together on their first leg. Each runner completes one out of the six legs, which vary in terrain and distance—ranging from hilly stretches to more flat routes, typically around 5-8 kilometers long. Upon finishing a leg, runners must stop for a beer at each pub before handing over to the next team member.
The event’s highlight is not just the race itself but also the camaraderie among participants and the festive atmosphere that envelops Freddy's Brewpub as teams converge back there by early afternoon. Prizes are awarded in various categories including best costumes, fastest time, and other surprise awards. Additionally, all runners receive a prize simply for participating.
Post-race festivities include food, refreshments, and an awards ceremony scheduled around 3:00 pm with the event concluding at approximately 4:00 pm. All proceeds from this race will be donated to local charities, making your participation not only fun but also meaningful.
