Stocking Stuffer Holiday Walk/Run

Experience the magic of Grant Park on the Stocking Stuffer Holiday Walk/Run as it returns to Calgary, Alberta. This beloved community tradition invites participants of all ages to step out into the crisp winter air and collect stocking stuffers while enjoying post-race festivities.
The event kicks off with a 3 km race designed for children aged three to five years old at CA$23.63 per participant. For those aged six to seventeen, there’s also a youth category available; adults can register in the same 3 km distance but will pay CA$50.55.
Race morning finds participants gathering early at Grant Park, located near Calgary's bustling downtown area and offering stunning views of the city skyline. The air is crisp with temperatures around -4°C, creating an invigorating yet comfortable setting for those dressed appropriately in layers. Light winds blowing at 9-10 km/h add a slight challenge that keeps runners engaged.
Grant Park provides a flat course perfect for both walking and running. The route begins from the park’s central area, weaving through its lush greenery before looping back to the start. Stops along the way allow participants to collect stocking stuffers, adding an extra layer of excitement as they navigate the course.
The event commences at 8:00 AM with a warm-up session for kids followed by the official race start time at 9:00 AM. Designed to be inclusive and welcoming, the course layout avoids steep climbs or challenging terrains, making it suitable for all ages. Aid stations will provide hot chocolate to keep participants warm and energized.
