About the Event

Experience the thrill of Edmonton's Gold Bar Park with the third installment of the 5 Peaks Northern Alberta Trail Running Series on July 18, 2027. Nestled along the North Saskatchewan River, this picturesque park offers a challenging yet rewarding course that winds through hard pack trails and technical singletrack terrain. The race begins with an invigorating two kilometers of wide paths before ascending Esso Hill, leading runners into Goldstick Park's dense singletrack.
The first aid station awaits at the top of a steep climb, offering essential hydration on hot summer days. Afterward, the course descends back to Gold Bar Park and continues along 50 Street before looping back to the start/finish area. The event features distances for all ages and abilities, including an engaging 3K race specifically designed for young runners.
Onsite registration includes packet pick-up from 7:30 a.m., with separate starts at 8:00 a.m. for hikers and walkers, followed by the kids' races beginning at 8:15 a.m. The main event kicks off at 9:00 a.m. with self-seeded waves for Enduro/Sport categories. Post-race snacks are available from 9:30 a.m., while awards presentations will follow based on when results are tabulated.
Spectators can enjoy the action from the start/finish area, and limited parking encourages carpooling to reduce congestion. Swag and finisher medals can be pre-purchased during registration or at the event site, though all items must be picked up in person and cannot be mailed afterward. Join us for an unforgettable day of trail running amidst stunning natural beauty!
