About the Event

Join us on September 25, 2027, for the ninth annual The Guardians race, offering both half marathon and full marathon distances. This scenic run starts at The Unicorn Inn and winds through the stunning Ironbridge Gorge, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its breathtaking landscapes.
For those tackling the full marathon, prepare to complete three laps of this picturesque course. Half marathon runners will enjoy two circuits, while participants in the 8-mile event will experience one lap. Each route offers a blend of challenging terrain and spectacular views along the gorge’s historic iron bridges and lush greenery.
All finishers can look forward to receiving blingtastic medals as they cross the line at The Unicorn Inn, marking the end of their journey through this iconic location in Telford.
Race HQ is conveniently located at The Unicorn Inn on Holly Road, Little Dawley, TF4 3HZ.
