Located in Rowlands Gill, Tyne & Wear, this exclusive event offers runners a rare opportunity to explore over 600 acres of meticulously preserved gardens, woodlands, and countryside.
Gibside Estate is renowned for its stunning 18th-century designed landscape, which includes the Neo-classical Chapel, an elegantly restored stable block, and the grand ruin. The trails wind through this historic setting, offering runners a chance to spot deer while enjoying panoramic views of the surrounding hills and valleys.
The event features two distance options:
- A 5km trail run suitable for beginners aged 11 years and older.
- A more challenging 10km route designed for experienced runners aged 15 and above.
Participants can choose between starting at 7:10PM for the longer course or 7:15PM for the shorter distance, ensuring that both events are well-spaced to accommodate all runners.
This evening's run is not just a race; it’s an exploration of one of England’s most beautiful estates. The event includes live chip-timing by Timing Up North, providing instant results and adding an element of competition and excitement.
