Georgina Marathon & Half-Marathon

On September 12, 2027, runners from across Ontario and beyond converge on Georgina for the scenic and certified Georgina Marathon. This fast and flat course offers breathtaking views along Lake Simcoe’s southern shore, with quiet roads lined by stunning properties providing ample shade throughout.
The marathon begins at De La Salle Park, where participants will embark on a two-loop journey alongside Lake Drive North, while half-marathoners complete one loop before heading back to the finish line. The 10km and 5km races follow similar routes but cover shorter distances with equally stunning vistas.
Aid stations are placed every 2.5-3 kilometers along all courses, offering XACT electrolyte drinks and water to keep runners hydrated throughout their run. The atmosphere is electric as local radio stations Hits 105.5 FM and New K-Country 93.7 play music and cheer from various points on the course.
Runners can expect motivational cheers from volunteers and even catch a glimpse of the event’s alligator mascot along the way, adding to the fun-filled experience. The race is open to athletes of all skill levels, with pace bunnies available for those looking to set personal bests or simply enjoy the picturesque setting.
All finishers will receive custom Georgina Marathon T-shirts and medals upon completion. Early registration opens on December 1, 2026, offering a chance to secure spots in this scenic race experience well ahead of time.
