Embark on an autumn adventure at Heart Lake Conservation Park for the 5 Peaks Challenge, perfect for runners of all ages and skill levels. Nestled within the park is Heart Lake, named for its distinctive heart-shaped contour fed by natural springs. The shaded trails offer a serene backdrop to enjoy the vibrant fall foliage as you navigate through this scenic course. Race day activities kick off at 8:00 AM with onsite packet pickup, followed by various wave starts throughout the morning, catering to different race distances and pace groups. Whether you're aiming for a personal best or simply enjoying the outdoors, there's something for every participant. The event features family-friendly options like a free one-kilometer kids run starting at 8:45 AM. Heart Lake Conservation Park is located on Traditional Territories of several Indigenous communities, including the Mississaugas of the Credit and Anishinaabe peoples, making it an important site to acknowledge and respect cultural heritage. Safety measures are in place, prohibiting items such as dogs, headphones, strollers, or nordic walking poles from the race course. Participants can park for free at Birchmount parking near Wild Wetland Splash and Pool; carpooling is encouraged due to limited space. Washrooms will be available at the start/finish area, along with a welcoming atmosphere for spectators who wish to cheer on runners from this central location. Enhance your experience by pre-ordering finisher swag during registration, though individual event fees do not include these items. Post-race festivities conclude with an awards ceremony honoring top male and female overall winners as well as age group champions across various distances.
