Dimboola Dash Running Festival

On April 11, 2027, runners will gather in Dimboola for the second edition of the Dimboola Dash Running Festival. Nestled alongside the serene Wimmera River, this festival offers a variety of distances to cater to all levels of athletes—marathon and half marathon routes wind through picturesque trails between Dimboola and Lochiel Rest Area, while 10k events are available for both runners and walkers. A shorter option includes a 5km walk or run, ensuring there's something for everyone in the community.
The festival also features a FREE 2km Kids' Dash, an untimed event designed to introduce young participants under age 12 to the joy of running. This year’s Dimboola Dash is part of organizer Brian Haddy’s expanding network of regional events, including the Mildura Riverfront Marathon Festival in June and the Mad Max Marathon Festival in Broken Hill later that summer.
For those looking for an extended challenge, signing up for all three longer races—marathon, half marathon, or 10km run—in Dimboola, Mildura, and Horsham can earn participants special fee savings. Completing this series will also grant runners a unique Triple Crown commemorative medal at the final event in Horsham.
The festival aims to bring together athletes from across Australia while encouraging local participation, particularly among children and adults looking to adopt healthy running habits. The Dimboola Dash offers an engaging day of scenic routes and community spirit for all involved.
