Dartmouth Triathlon

The Dartmouth Triathlon returns for its 12th edition on June 13, 2027, inviting triathletes to experience the beauty of Blackpool Sands. The race begins with an exhilarating swim in the crystal-clear waters off this picturesque coastal spot.
Participants then transition onto their bikes and embark on a circular course that offers one lap for sprint distances or two laps for standard distance competitors. This bike route winds through scenic countryside, providing riders with breathtaking views and challenging terrain.
The final leg of the event takes runners up Blackpool Valley Road in an out-and-back format, where they follow a stream as it gently ascends to the turnaround point. The course has been carefully designed to eliminate any road crossings by introducing a second transition zone on the opposite side of A379, ensuring safer and smoother transitions.
With strict limits set at 350 participants for each triathlon distance, early registration is highly recommended due to the event's growing popularity. In addition to the main race, there are sea swims available on Saturday evening with distances ranging from a 750m swim up to a challenging 3K option.
For those looking to fully immerse in the experience, camping at Blackpool Sands the night before is an additional option for a nominal fee, offering participants a unique opportunity to enjoy the beachfront atmosphere and prepare in serene surroundings.
Participants will receive silicone swim hats and sportiva water bottles upon registration. Full safety measures are provided by Teignmouth Beach Surf Life Saving Club, ensuring that all athletes can focus on their performance without worry. The race features electronic chip timing with detailed transition splits, enhancing the competitive spirit while also recognizing every finisher's achievements.
All participants will receive medals to commemorate their participation in this memorable event. Feed stations and numbered racking systems are provided throughout the course, making sure everyone has a smooth and enjoyable experience from start to finish.
Join us for an unforgettable day of competition and camaraderie at one of England’s most scenic coastal locations.
