About the Event

On December 12, 2026, the vibrant heart of Yssingeaux will pulse with energy and joy as it hosts the third edition of the Cocorrida d’Yssingeaux. This nighttime race is not just a run through the streets but an immersive experience that supports a worthy cause—proceeds from this year’s event will benefit Les Ailes d'Elouan, helping to fund essential treatments and therapies for children in need.
The evening kicks off with three distinct distances catering to all levels of runners: 1.3 kilometers at 6:30 PM for the younger participants known as "Petits Coqs," followed by a 3.7-kilometer race starting at 7:30 PM, and finally, a challenging 7.4-kilometer course beginning at 8:00 PM for those looking to push their limits as "5 Coqs."
Participants are encouraged to embrace the festive spirit of Christmas with creative costumes in holiday colors, adding an extra layer of fun and camaraderie to this unique event. The race begins and concludes at the newly renovated La Rubanerie hall, providing a lively backdrop filled with excitement and support from spectators.
Join us for an evening where every stride contributes not just to personal achievement but also to making a difference in the lives of others.
