About the Event

On March 21, 2027, Fremantle Triathlon Club invites triathletes and enthusiasts to the scenic Coogee Beach for an exhilarating day of competition. The club offers four distinct events tailored to athletes of all ages and skill levels.
The Sprint event challenges participants with a rigorous course that includes a 750-meter swim in the clear waters off Coogee, followed by a 20-kilometer bike ride along coastal routes with stunning ocean views. Athletes then transition for a final push on foot over 5 kilometers of running trails and beach paths.
For those looking to ease into competitive triathlon, the Fun event provides an accessible introduction. This shorter course features a 300-meter swim in calm waters, followed by a manageable 10-kilometer bike ride through picturesque coastal roads. The day concludes with a 2.5-kilometer run along sandy beaches and boardwalks.
The Sunsmart Kids Triathlon is designed for young athletes aged between six to fourteen years old. This event includes an introductory 100-meter swim, allowing kids to familiarize themselves with the water before transitioning onto their bikes. The cycling leg covers a safe three-kilometer route that winds through local streets and parks, culminating in a one-kilometer run along soft sand.
For teams looking to compete together, there's also a Sprint (Team) event where participants work as a cohesive unit completing individual segments of the 750-meter swim, followed by a shared 20-kilometer bike ride. Afterward, team members take turns running for five kilometers each on alternating legs until they cross the finish line.
The Coogee Beach Triathlon promises an unforgettable day filled with camaraderie and breathtaking scenery as athletes of all ages come together to celebrate their passion for triathlons in one of Australia's most beautiful coastal settings.
