About the Event

Immerse yourself in the stunning beauty of the Shropshire Hills for an unforgettable trail running experience on September 4, 2027. Choose between half marathon and full marathon distances as you traverse 13.1 or 26.2 miles through this picturesque landscape. The race begins at Carding Mill Valley near the National Trust tea rooms, a scenic spot surrounded by rolling hills and lush greenery.
Runners will carry their own rucksacks with essential items including at least 500ml of water and basic first aid supplies throughout the challenging course. Friendly marshals guide participants along fully marked trails that wind through protected areas managed by the National Trust. The marathon is a single lap, so runners must complete it in under seven hours to finish strong.
After crossing the start line at 9am, you'll have until noon to complete your first half if tackling the full distance. Aid stations are well stocked and strategically placed along the route for hydration and energy boosts. Participants will be rewarded with a blingtastic medal upon completion of their chosen challenge.
Set against the backdrop of Church Stretton, known as “The Town in The Clouds,” this race offers not only breathtaking scenery but also easy access to amenities nearby. Don’t miss your chance to run through some of England’s most captivating countryside!
