Backyard Ultra - Isle of Man

On October 1, 2027, endurance runners will converge on the Isle of Man for an intense and unique race: Backyard Ultra. This last-one-standing competition challenges participants with a relentless loop course that measures exactly 4.167 miles. Starting at noon, competitors run this distance every hour until only one runner remains.
Each lap must be completed within the hour to continue in the event. The electronic timing system ensures fair play as runners push their limits against both time and other contestants. Those who persevere earn more than just a finish; they receive recognition for reaching significant mileage milestones, such as 100, 200, or 300 miles.
The race offers an array of prizes: overall winner (the last person standing), second place "Assist" award, and accolades for the most laps completed by both male and female runners. Teams can also vie for a collective prize based on accumulated lap totals.
Participants receive an event T-shirt upon registration confirmation, while professional photos capture their journey throughout the day. Race HQ facilities provide essential amenities including first aid support to ensure safety during this grueling yet rewarding challenge.
