About the Event

Immerse yourself in the vibrant autumn landscape of Askam-in-Furness as you participate in one of this year's Autumn Series events. This urban orienteering challenge offers both a Long and Short course, catering to runners of all skill levels.
Askam-in-Furness is a charming town that will provide an exciting backdrop for your adventure. The terrain includes bustling town centre streets, residential roads lined with neat gardens, narrow alleyways known locally as "ginnels," historic steps leading up steep hillsides, cobbled paths, and serene parkland areas. This diverse setting ensures a unique experience filled with twists and turns that will keep you engaged throughout the race.
For those new to orienteering or looking for companionship on their route, we encourage running in pairs or groups. Simply enter using one person's name and include all participants' names and ages in the "Additional Names and Ages" section during registration. Additional maps can also be requested if needed.

Participants are reminded to adhere strictly to British Orienteering's Participation Codes of Conduct for a safe and enjoyable experience.
Please note that non-members of British Orienteering will not be covered by the organization’s public liability insurance during this event. While everyone is welcome to participate, we advise newcomers to do so at their own risk until they join as official members.
