About the Event

The Seeley Cup, an iconic 10k race steeped in tradition since its inception in 1982, honors the legacy of Joe Seeley, a beloved local athlete from Willowfield Harriers. Held annually on November 28th, this event has become a cornerstone for runners across Northern Ireland.
The course winds along the picturesque Ormeau Embankment and through lush Ormeau Park in Belfast, offering participants a relatively flat terrain that is ideal for personal best attempts or simply enjoying a scenic run. With entry capped at just 1000 spots, early registration on September 7th at 10:00 AM is highly recommended to secure your place.
The race begins promptly at 2:30 PM from the Ormeau Embankment and concludes in the heart of Ormeau Park. For those part of a local Greater Belfast Area club, pre-race day pack collection is strongly advised to avoid long lines on November 28th. Club members can designate one person to collect all race numbers for their group.
Entry fees are available at both Green (no t-shirt) and Standard rates, with participants required to be aged 15 or older. Unfortunately, refunds and name changes cannot be accommodated after the deadline of Friday, November 6th.
