ABERSOCH COAST TRAIL
About the event
Experience the breathtaking beauty of North Wales at the Dioni ABERSOCH 20K and 10K COAST TRAIL races on September 18, 2027. Nestled along the stunning Llyn Peninsula, this event invites runners to explore Abersoch’s picturesque coastline, starting from the golden sands of its renowned beach alongside Cardigan Bay.
The route meanders through mesmerizing coastal scenery, passing by Tudwal's Islands and Porth Ceiriad before venturing further for the 20K race along the rugged beauty of Porth Neigwl (Hell’s Mouth). Both courses offer a mix of tracks, trails, and even stretches of road, providing runners with diverse terrain.
Upon finishing back on Abersoch Beach, participants can enjoy live music, refreshing massages, and a beachside bar complete with BBQ offerings. Many cool off in the bay for a post-race swim before savoring a cold beer while taking in the festive atmosphere.
This event promises an unforgettable blend of scenic beauty and community spirit, making it a must-run destination on your trail racing calendar.

About Abersoch
Learn more about the host city, Abersoch.
Abersoch is a village in Llŷn particularly favoured for sailing. The village and the roads to the headlands west of it tend to get very crowded. Packed with holiday homes, making housing unaffordable to most locals, it becomes a bit of a ghost town outside of the main tourist season. As a consequence, it has very little native character about it.
