Scheduled for November 15th, 2026, the Conwy Half Marathon is set against the stunning backdrop of North Wales. This iconic race has been voted one of the top five most scenic half marathons in the UK by Runner's World readers and continues to captivate runners with its picturesque route.
The event boasts a capacity limit of 4,000 participants due to popular demand, so early registration is highly recommended. The course begins on the historic Conwy Bridge near the quayside, offering breathtaking views of the ancient Conwy Castle as you start your journey through North Wales' captivating landscape.
Participants will run alongside the serene Conwy River before heading towards Deganwy and Llandudno's West Shore. From there, the route takes runners along church walks leading to Llandudno Pier, where they'll enjoy panoramic views of the Great Orme and Isle of Anglesey. The race then circles back through picturesque coastal scenery, eventually returning you to Conwy for a triumphant finish.
The 2023 edition saw over 3,000 runners achieve personal bests on this challenging yet rewarding course. With its mix of flat stretches and scenic ascents, the Conwy Half Marathon offers something unique for every runner—whether you're seeking a new PB or simply enjoying the beautiful surroundings.
Registration opens at 7:45am on race day at the Quayside, just minutes from the start line. Race HQ is also located here, providing easy access to all necessary information and services. All participants will receive a quality bespoke medal and technical T-shirt upon completion of their run.
The Fun Run starts earlier at 8:45am with an approximate one-mile out-and-back route across Conwy Bridge, open to runners of all ages but requiring children under nine years old to be accompanied by an adult.
Toilets are available near the start/finish line and along the course. Drink stations will be placed approximately every three miles, as well as at the finish area. First aid coverage includes a professional medical team stationed strategically throughout the route for added safety.

For those traveling to Conwy from afar, parking options include two main car parks with charges applying (£5), plus additional overflow areas near Aberconwy School and Llandudno Junction.
