15ème édition de la Guignennaise

The 15th edition of the Guignennaise races returns to Guignen on December 13, 2026, offering runners an array of challenging courses across various distances. The centerpiece is a trail race covering 25 kilometers through scenic terrain, designed for serious endurance athletes with one loop and two liquid-only hydration stations. Participants are required to bring their own cups due to environmental considerations.
For those seeking shorter but equally engaging routes, the event features two nature runs: a 16-kilometer course starting at 9:30 AM and a more compact 9-kilometer option beginning an hour later. Both of these races also include one loop with hydration stations offering only liquids, emphasizing self-sufficiency.
Registration fees vary based on race distance—€18 for the trail event, €14 for the 16km run, and €9 for the 9km course—and all participants must present a valid license or up-to-date PPS (Personal Protection Services). The races are open to juniors through veterans.
In addition to these adult competitions, families can enjoy two children's events. At 11:30 AM, the Guignennaise des Petits Champions invites young athletes aged between 2020 and 2014 for a playful introduction to track and field skills over distances of up to 700 meters. The following event at 11:45 AM welcomes slightly older children born in 2013-2012, who will compete on a 2.5-kilometer course.
All participants receive commemorative items upon completion, and top finishers across each race category are awarded prizes. A ceremony to present these accolades takes place at noon. Entry fees for the children's races include a €1 donation per dossard to support local charity "Le Point Rose."
This well-rounded event promises something for every level of runner from seasoned trail enthusiasts to young athletes just discovering their love for running in Guignen’s picturesque setting.
