ZigZag - 2027 WTF (Where's The Finish)

Embark on an adventurous New Year's journey at Brandon Country Park, nestled within the heart of Thetford Forest. This unique endurance challenge offers runners six hours to explore as much or as little distance as they desire along a 5.3-kilometer loop through scenic forest paths and grassy areas.
The event starts promptly at either 9 AM or 11 AM, allowing participants ample time to push their limits within the designated timeframe. Each lap around the multi-terrain course provides runners with opportunities for rest and recuperation before heading out again if they choose. Whether you're aiming for a personal best in your first official race distance or striving to complete an ultra-marathon, this event caters to all levels of experience.
Race day logistics are streamlined with clear directions from marshals stationed at the car park entrance guiding participants towards registration and bib collection points. A baggage area is available near Race HQ/Base Camp for storing personal items securely but responsibly—no valuables please.
The aid station located conveniently within Base Camp ensures runners stay hydrated throughout their journey, offering essential support without the complexity often associated with trail races. Participants are advised to wear road running shoes; however, trail-specific footwear may be necessary depending on weather conditions.
Upon crossing the finish line, all participants will receive a bespoke medal commemorating their achievement in this challenging yet rewarding event. Virtual participation options are also available for those who cannot attend but wish to earn the commemorative medal through an online run.
Brandon Country Park is easily accessible from major towns and cities like Bury St Edmunds, Norwich, Cambridge, and Ipswich, making it a convenient location for both local athletes and visitors alike. For train enthusiasts, Brandon Railway Station lies just 1.5 miles away from the park entrance.
With its serene surroundings and flexible race format, this event promises to be an unforgettable start to your year of running achievements.
