Join us for the Essex Remembrance Run 2026 at The Carver Barracks (formerly Debden Airfield), an iconic site steeped in history. This annual run honors fallen heroes while raising funds for The Felix Fund, a military charity dedicated to supporting service members and their families. The event takes place over Remembrance weekend in November, offering runners four distance options: half marathon, 10km, 5km, and a one-mile race. Each course is traffic-free and utilizes the flat, fast concrete grounds of this historic World War II airfield, ensuring an enjoyable running experience for all participants. Music will be played along the route to keep spirits high as you run through this scenic setting. Children under eight years old must have their own ticket and should always be accompanied by a paying adult who can register them for any distance they choose. Upon crossing the finish line, runners will receive custom-designed medals and complimentary refreshments that are perfect for recharging after your effort. Additionally, all participants will enjoy free event photos to capture this special moment. Whether you're an experienced runner or just starting out, ATW Remembrance Runs promises a supportive atmosphere filled with positive energy. Participants also have the opportunity to make their strides count by raising money for Alzheimer's Research UK at checkout—turning every step into hope for those affected by dementia. Don't miss this chance to be part of an event that combines historical significance and community spirit, while challenging yourself on a meticulously planned course.
