Run for Respect

Join the vibrant community of runners and walkers as they come together for the Run for Respect on February 7, 2027. The event is hosted by Carlton Football Club to promote gender equality and raise awareness about preventing violence against women through a series of races.
Participants can choose from various distances tailored to different age groups: a Junior Dash with options for under-4s running or walking 400 meters; children aged 4 to 5 years will run the same distance, while those between 6 and 8 years have an option of either running or walking 3 kilometers. For older participants, there are longer distances available including a 10-kilometer race for adults.
The event takes place in the heart of Carlton Football Club's grounds, offering runners scenic routes through well-maintained fields and pathways surrounded by lush greenery. The atmosphere is filled with enthusiasm as supporters cheer on racers along each section of the course.
A special discount is offered to those under 18 years old at checkout, making it an affordable opportunity for young athletes to participate in this meaningful event. All proceeds from the Run for Respect go towards supporting Carlton Respects' initiatives aimed at fostering a safer and more equitable community.
The day promises not only physical activity but also serves as a platform for raising awareness about critical social issues within the local area, encouraging all participants to contribute positively toward gender equality efforts in their communities.
