The 2026 War Horse Energy Unroot Mountain越野赛, set to take place on November 29th in Dao Ming Bamboo Art Village Visitor Center, Chongzhou City, Sichuan Province, offers runners four distinct categories: a challenging 40-kilometer elite race with a total elevation gain of 2,081 meters, a scenic 25-kilometer challenge course featuring an ascent of 1,150 meters, and two shorter courses - the 9.23 kilometer trek through rolling hills and the family-friendly 5-kilometer loop around the picturesque village.
The elite race begins at 8:30 AM on November 29th with a nine-hour cutoff time, while both the challenge course and the longer distance trail run start simultaneously but have six and four hours to complete their respective routes. The shorter courses kick off just half an hour later, offering families and beginners alike an opportunity to enjoy the stunning autumn landscape.
Unroot Mountain stands as one of Chengdu’s most pristine natural escapes, renowned for its secluded trails that wind through ancient forests painted in hues of reds and gold during fall.
