ZEGAMAKO 14. SAN SILBESTREA

On December 31, 2026, runners will gather for the annual Zegama Aizkorri Mountain Marathon. The race begins at 5:30 PM and covers a challenging distance of 5.25 kilometers through scenic mountain terrain. Open to participants aged twelve and older, this event offers an exhilarating way to ring in the new year.
After crossing the finish line, runners can freshen up with showers available at Zegamako Frontoia. A convenient service for collecting discarded clothing awaits nearby at Udaletxe azpian. For those traveling from afar, there's a chance to win three entries into next year’s Mendi Maratoia through a random draw among non-local finishers.
The top prize of €100 will be awarded to anyone who breaks the race record, with the reward shared between male and female winners if both records are shattered. Race day registration costs just €20, making it accessible for all runners looking to take on this unique challenge amidst stunning Basque Country landscapes.
Participants should prepare for a memorable evening of athletic competition and celebration in Zegama's vibrant atmosphere.
