About the Event

The Yorkshire Weekend Saunter Series invites runners to explore the scenic landscapes around Rodley Barge pub, nestled along Town Street in Leeds. This event offers various distance options for participants who can enjoy the run at their own pace—whether they prefer a brisk jog or leisurely stroll. The series is tailored to welcome newcomers with ease while still providing engaging routes for seasoned runners.
The relaxed atmosphere discourages competition and instead fosters camaraderie among participants, making it an ideal setting for social interaction on foot. Upon crossing the finish line, all participants are rewarded with a unique jumble medal as well as hot food and refreshments including beer or soft drinks. The event prioritizes straightforward logistics to ensure that everyone can focus on enjoying the local scenery.
As part of a larger series, the Yorkshire Weekend Saunter Series aims to provide accessible routes across Yorkshire for runners looking to explore different parts of the region during their weekends.
The experience is designed to highlight the beauty and charm of Yorkshire's landscapes while encouraging an inclusive community spirit among participants.
