Winter Wander Challenge Day 1 2027

About the Event

Devon Running Events invites runners and walkers to join them on December 11, 2027, for an inclusive day of running along the scenic route of an old disused train line. The 'TUGG' system—Turn Up Get Going—is in effect, allowing participants to start at any time between 7:30 AM and 2:30 PM but ensuring they complete their final lap by 3:30 PM.
The course features a precisely measured 5.3-kilometer out-and-back loop that winds through the picturesque countryside on tarmac. Ideal for all abilities, whether you're planning to run or walk, participants can choose how many laps to tackle within the given timeframe. Whether you finish one lap or fourteen, every participant is considered a winner and will receive an event medal upon completion.
The route offers a tranquil setting with minimal traffic, making it perfect for runners seeking serenity and scenic beauty. The variety of distances available ensures that everyone can find their comfort zone and challenge themselves at their own pace.
Entry to the race includes access to a selection of spare medals from previous events; if you have your eye on a specific design, feel free to email organizers in advance.
Spaces are limited for this unique event, so early registration is encouraged to secure your spot. Join us as we celebrate fitness and community along Devon's historic rail trail.
