Waterman Gobbler Gallop 2026

Waterman Lions Club proudly presents the annual Gobbler Gallop 5K Walk/Run, set to take place on Saturday, November 21, 2026. The race begins promptly at 9:00 AM from Indian Creek Middle School located at 335 E. Garfield St., Waterman, IL.
Participants can register same day starting at 7:30 a.m. Pre-registration is available through October 31st for $30 or until November 20th for $35; the cost increases to $40 on race morning. All runners will enjoy an energetic start in a scenic village setting, with flat and fast streets leading them along picturesque routes.
The event not only celebrates community spirit but also supports Waterman Lions Club programs and projects through proceeds generated from participant fees. The Gobbler Gallop awards first through third place prizes to top male and female finishers in both regular and masters categories, as well as age-category awards for the top three finishers in each gender.
In addition to individual accolades, there's a team competition where groups of four can vie for recognition among their peers. The race is fully supported with refreshments available post-event, ensuring participants have plenty to look forward to after crossing the finish line. Strollers are welcome at this family-friendly event.
Every participant will receive an official Gobbler Gallop T-shirt while supplies last, making it a memorable experience not just for runners but also for spectators and volunteers alike.
