The Turkey Trot is more than just a race; it's an event dedicated to supporting local education initiatives and community service. Proceeds raised will fund St. Linus School’s Chromebook technology initiative, enhancing individualized instruction for students across various subjects. This year’s added funding aims to continue providing essential software programs and additional devices. In memory of Erica Heilmann, a beloved figure known for her volunteerism and dedication to the school community, this event also supports an essay contest among 7th graders on altruism and serving the community. The winner will receive recognition along with a contribution toward their tuition fees. We are grateful for our sponsors—local vendors, small businesses, corporate donors, and individual supporters—who help us build a stronger community while financially supporting our children’s education needs. Your contributions make this event possible and ensure that it continues to grow year after year. On race day, participants will enjoy the warm spirit of St. Linus School as they run through familiar streets in Oak Lawn. Whether you're an avid runner or new to 5Ks, everyone is welcome to join us for a morning filled with community pride and camaraderie. We look forward to seeing you there on November 7th!
