Walk for Jenna's Joy: A Mental Health Awareness Walkathon

About the Event

This event is a walkathon on April 24th, 2027 in El Dorado County (EDC). This walkathon will raise money for the non-profit Jenna Sue Souza Furst Memorial Scholarship Fund which provides scholarships and a free therapy session to local high school students within EDC. The walkathon aims to spread mental health awareness with an emphasis on our youth. The trail will start at the Placerville Town Hall, go through main street, and loop back to Placerville Town Hall, utilizing the EDC trail at the end.

The registration at the event will begin at 8am and will close at 9am. The walk will begin at 9am. T-shirts and raffle tickets will be available for purchase on this website and at the event. Local businesses will be donating fantastic and generous raffle prizes.

If you would like to attend, but not walk, please consider donating $20 and join us at 10:30am at the Placerville Town Hall. We will have light refreshments available.

Placerville is a town in El Dorado County in California's Gold Country. It was a key supply hub during the Gold Rush, and was California's third-largest town when it was incorporated in 1857.
