This event is run on the El Dorado Trail in beautiful historic Placerville. The path is surrounded with beautiful oak trees, rolling hills, and incredible views. The race is held rain or shine. Strollers are allowed in the 5K, 10K, and 15K.
Address: Placerville Station 2984 Mosquito Road Placerville, CA 95667 Schedule: 7:30 AM – Registration & Bib Pick Up Opens 8:30 AM – Start Time – Kids Run 8:45 AM – Trail Briefing & Registration/Runner Check-In Ends 9:00 AM – Start Time – All Other Distances Start in Waves (one minute apart - starting with the half marathon). 4 Hour Time Limit. Placerville is a town in El Dorado County in California's Gold Country. It was a key supply hub during the Gold Rush, and was California's third-largest town when it was incorporated in 1857. In 2021 the permanent population was around 11,000, but visitors flock to the town due to its convenient location halfway between Sacramento and Lake Tahoe, and also for its historic downtown, with many of the businesses housed in buildings that date back to the mid-1800s.
