Valentines Challenge

Celebrate Valentine's Day with a unique challenge at Suffolk Running Centre on February 14, 2027. Gather your running gear for an exclusive six-hour race that promises to be both romantic and rewarding.
The event kicks off at 9:00 AM from the heart of Bury St Edmunds, offering runners the flexibility to run as much or as little as they wish over a meticulously crafted route. The Golding Hills course presents a scenic out-and-back loop covering 10.5 kilometers (6.5 miles), with minimal elevation gain and no need for navigation—a perfect setting for both novices aiming to complete their first marathon distance and seasoned runners looking to push the limits.
Participants will start at Base Camp, where they can rest between laps or grab refreshments from the aid station before heading out again. The race allows you to continue running until 5:59 PM, with the opportunity to squeeze in an extra lap if time permits. This relaxed format makes it ideal for those seeking a marathon distance achievement without the complexities of trail ultras.
The event venue is conveniently located at Suffolk Running Centre on Church Road, IP29 5AX, and includes free parking as part of your entry fee. A bespoke Valentine-themed medal will be awarded to all finishers upon completion, while virtual runners can participate from home through Zig Zag Running's online platform.
To ensure a smooth experience for everyone involved, please note that the race is cupless—bring reusable bottles or cups—and no dogs or buggies are allowed on this open-road route. Headphones are restricted except for bone-conducting devices to maintain awareness of your surroundings and fellow runners.
