The East Fortune Sprint Duathlon returns on March 21, 2027, for its fifth year at the historic East Fortune motor-racing circuit. This unique venue offers wide, smooth tarmac and sweeping bends, setting the stage for a thrilling day of competition. Competitors can choose from draft-legal or non-drafting waves tailored to various skill levels. The draft-legal sprint duathlon features separate female and open waves with a challenging 5km run, 20km bike ride, followed by another 2.5km run. This race is bidding for qualifier status for the World and European championships. For those who prefer an individual challenge without drafting benefits, there's also a non-drafting wave that caters to all genders in one combined group. Both waves provide ample opportunity for speed and tactical racing on this fast, closed circuit. Junior athletes are not left out; they can participate in super-sprint duathlons designed specifically for Tristar 1 (ages 9-10), Tristar 2 (ages 11-12), Tristar 3 (ages 13-14), and Youth (ages 15-16) categories, each with its own unique distances. The atmosphere is welcoming to beginners and seasoned athletes alike. With a supportive environment and straightforward course layout, the event promises an engaging experience for all participants. Entry Central registration ensures easy sign-up processes for both adults and juniors, while race belts are available at check-in or can be purchased alongside your entry fee. Don't miss out on this exciting opportunity to test your skills against some of Scotland's top multisport athletes in a picturesque setting known for its fast racing conditions.
