The Wasatch Yard

On October 15, 2027, the Wasatch Yard returns to Round Valley Quinn's Trailhead in Park City for another night of relentless endurance running. The race begins at 6:00 PM Mountain Time and challenges runners to complete a 4.167-mile loop every hour on the hour until they reach their limit.
The course winds through mixed terrain, marked with flags, signs, and reflective markers for visibility in the dark. As temperatures drop sharply during October nights, participants are advised to bring warm layers, headlamps (with backups), and plenty of calories to sustain them throughout the night. The event is cupless, so runners must carry their own hydration.
Crew support remains within the start/finish area, with no assistance allowed on course or pacing by others. Each completed loop is logged manually, adding a layer of accountability for every runner committed to pushing through the night. With 24 loops totaling approximately 100 miles as an ultimate goal, this event tests not just physical endurance but mental fortitude and strategic planning.
Parking at Round Valley Quinn's Trailhead lots ensures easy access, with overflow parking clearly marked if needed. Runners are encouraged to carpool and keep the area clear for others. Any course changes or safety updates will be communicated through race-week emails along with final packet pickup details and briefing information.
For those facing financial barriers, limited free and reduced-fee entries are available for Park City residents and runners from underrepresented groups in trail running. Details on how to apply can be found via the provided email contact.
