About the Event

The Run for KidSport returns on Sunday, November 1st, 2026, at Picaroons Roundhouse. Presented by Phoenix Petroleum Ltd., Petroleum Measurement Integrators Ltd., Fredericton Marathon and Sport New Brunswick, this untimed fundraising event offers a choice of 3k, 5k, or 8k run/walk routes along the scenic riverfront trail system in Carleton Park.
Participants will begin their journey at Picaroons Roundhouse near Carleton Park. The race features an out-and-back course that winds through Fredericton's picturesque waterfront trails and back to the starting point. This event aims to support KidSport NB, a children’s charity program dedicated to removing financial barriers for kids who want to participate in organized sports.
Registration is open with a minimum donation of $25 plus processing fees going directly to KidSport NB. The first 200 registrants will receive a commemorative swag item as part of their race kit. Race kits can be picked up at Picaroons Roundhouse on Saturday, October 31st from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., or early on the morning of Sunday, November 1st between 7:30 a.m. and 9:15 a.m.
Race day activities kick off with an 8k start at 9:30 a.m., followed by the 5K and 3K races beginning promptly at 9:35 a.m. Participants are encouraged to register ahead of time, but same-day registration is also available on race morning.
