The Drop is an adventurous challenge that pushes your navigation skills to their limits. On September 12, 2027, runners will gather for this unique experience where uncertainty reigns supreme and every decision counts.
Participants are dropped at undisclosed locations—either 10 or 15 miles from the event center—and must find their way back without any navigational aids such as maps, GPS devices, or compasses. The core challenge offers two options: a shorter but intense 10-mile route and an extended version of 15 miles that tests endurance over a longer distance.
For those traveling from outside the area, there's also The Drop 6—a six-mile option designed specifically for non-locals to ensure fairness by eliminating any local advantage. Regardless of which challenge you choose, all participants are subject to strict rules and face identical conditions upon deployment, including blindfolds that mask your surroundings until the moment begins.
Registration involves handing over electronic devices and navigational aids in exchange for a race number and an emergency bag that must remain sealed throughout the event. Once deployed by bus to unknown locations with only blackout blindfolds (or approved alternatives), participants are on their own, responsible for every decision from start to finish.
