The 13th Colworth Hare and Tortoise Run

On November 29, 2026, runners will gather for an exhilarating and challenging trail race around the picturesque Colworth Estate in North Bedfordshire. The course covers a total distance of 26.3 miles over five laps, weaving through undulating trails and unclassified roads that wind through lush woodland paths with some uneven surfaces and roots.
The event begins at 9:00 am from Colworth House Sports and Social Club located in Sharnbrook, Bedfordshire (MK44 1LB), SP978598. Participants will enjoy a scenic route that takes them past charming landscapes and natural beauty spots within the estate grounds. The race is designed to accommodate both solo runners and teams of up to two individuals per team, with each participant needing to be at least 15 years old on the day of the event.
Due to the narrow sections along parts of the trail, there will be a limit on entries to ensure safety for all participants. Dogs are welcome as long as they are under the responsible care and control of their owners throughout the race.
Water stations and refreshments are strategically placed at each lap checkpoint where runners can find water, flat Coke, individually wrapped snacks, and additional drinks halfway through each loop. Participants should bring their own reusable bottles or hydration systems to align with the event's cup-free initiative.
The finish line will be open until 4:00 pm, allowing flexibility for those who wish to start earlier in the day if needed. Post-race amenities include hot food, tea, and coffee at the finish area, as well as changing rooms and showers (subject to any local health guidelines).
