SOX 3 Day Trail Run 2027

SOX Trail Run, set against the backdrop of South Africa's breathtaking Garden Route, offers runners an unparalleled 3-day adventure through some of the country’s most stunning landscapes. The journey kicks off on August 7, 2027, with a challenging 25km trek in the Outeniqua Mountains for full participants and a more manageable 13km route for those opting for SOX Sport. Day two takes runners into the heart of Knysna’s lush indigenous forest, featuring trails that wind through tranquil woodlands over either 25km or 15km distances. The final day concludes with an invigorating coastal run along Wilderness's stunning shoreline—full participants cover 16km while SOX Sport enthusiasts complete a 12km circuit.
Each stage is carefully crafted to showcase the unique beauty of its setting, from rugged mountain trails and serene forest paths to picturesque seaside routes. Runners will enjoy well-marked courses that are typically off-limits to the public, ensuring an exclusive experience in pristine natural environments. The event includes daily lunch at the finish venue, a Sedgefield Brewery Finishers beer each day, and bus transport between stages.
The race village setup on Day 3 offers additional amenities such as massages (booking required), sweeper support throughout all three days, and well-stocked water tables to keep runners hydrated and energized. The event promises an unforgettable trail running experience with breathtaking scenery at every turn.
