Snake Lane 10 Mile Road Race 2027

In February 2027, the Snake Lane Race celebrates its 35th year as one of East Yorkshire's premier running events. This fast and flat 10-mile course winds through picturesque countryside at the base of the Wolds, offering runners a scenic journey filled with rolling hills and lush landscapes. The race is held on closed roads with a generous two-and-a-half-hour cutoff time, ensuring all participants have ample opportunity to complete the distance.
Competitors can look forward to an extensive prize list that includes cash rewards for top finishers: £250 each for first male and female winners, plus an additional £250 if they break the course record (only one competitor per gender will receive this bonus). Second and third place runners in both categories win £70 and £60 respectively. The event also honors veteran racers with a £30 prize for the fastest vet male and female.
The race concludes at approximately 10:45 am, where medals and souvenirs are awarded to all finishers on site. Prize money must be claimed either immediately post-race or during the awards ceremony held later that day at Pocklington Rugby Club (location details will be confirmed prior to the event).
