Immerse yourself in the scenic beauty of Skanderborg Lake on September 19, 2027, for SØEN RUNDT 2027. This beloved tradition features a half marathon and an eight-kilometer route winding through picturesque landscapes around the lake. The race begins and ends at Kulturtorvet in Skanderborg, where festive celebrations await runners and spectators alike.
Participants will enjoy stunning views of Skanderborg Lake as they navigate charming forests, rolling hills, and serene valleys. Along both routes, you'll experience a mix of tranquil trails through dense woods and sections with less visibility near more trafficked roads.
For the half marathon distance, after starting together at Kulturtorvet, runners will head south along Adelgade and venture into the forest before splitting paths from the shorter route. The longer race continues past scenic landmarks like "Kærligheden" (Love) towards Golfbanen, then takes a detour through Fårbjergvej near Ringkloster, eventually returning via Oddervej back to Adelgade and Kulturtorvet.
Water stations are strategically placed at 6.5km, 11.5km, and 15km along the half marathon route, offering refreshments for runners on their journey. Both distances conclude with water and fruit in the finish area.
