Race-day details
Packet pickup is race morning only, 6:00 to 7:45 AM at Malad City Park. Parking is at the park, a short walk from the start and finish, so keep your gear in your car. Course access is for runners and service animals. Open-ear and bone-conduction headphones are welcome with the volume low. Need more than 7 hours? Contact the race director before race day and we'll work something out.
Refunds and transfers
Entries are final, so add Refund Protection when you register if you want flexibility (Full $25, Half $20, 10K $15, 5K $15). It lets you withdraw for any reason until 8:00 AM MDT on Friday, Sep 10, 2027 (24 hours before the start). Need to hand your bib to a friend? Email [email protected] with both runners' names, your confirmation number and your distance, and the race director will move the entry over.

Getting here and where to stay
Malad City sits on I-15 about 13 miles north of the Utah line: 45 minutes from Logan, 50 minutes from Pocatello and 90 minutes from the Salt Lake City airport. Malad has motels and Airbnb rentals in town, Tremonton, Utah (30 minutes south) has chain hotels, and Logan and Pocatello have plenty more rooms. For a post-race soak, Downata Hot Springs is about 20 minutes north and Lava Hot Springs about 35.
Weather
Race morning is usually crisp, in the 40s at the start, then it warms up fast. Bring a throwaway layer for the start line, plus a hat and sunscreen for the later miles.
Run to Remember
In 2027 race day falls on September 11. We'll come together in remembrance of the lives lost on 9/11, with gratitude for those who serve. Bring your own reason to run.
