Run Wild 5K

On May 15, 2027, runners and walkers are invited to explore the lush grounds of Irvine Regional Park for the Run Wild 5K. This unique race takes participants through the OC Zoo, offering an up-close look at over 100 animals, including a black bear, jaguar, mountain lions, and more. The zoo is home to injured, orphaned, or non-releasable wildlife that benefit from visitor support. After crossing the finish line, runners can enjoy free entry into the zoo, where they will have the opportunity to see these remarkable creatures up close in their habitats. Additionally, visitors can interact with domestic goats and sheep at the barnyard area. Proceeds from this event go directly toward supporting the OC Zoo and preserving the Bobcat Habitat within the park. Join Orange County Parks Foundation for a day of adventure and conservation efforts that make a real difference for wildlife.
