Run for Wildlife NIGHT 5k 2027

Experience an unforgettable evening of adventure at the National 5k Walk, Jog, and Run Safari on January 10, 2027. This special night edition promises to be one of the highlights of your winter calendar, offering a unique opportunity to explore a beautifully illuminated park after dark.
Participants will have two starting waves: Wave 1 begins at 17:00 for runners aiming to complete the course in under 35 minutes, while Wave 2 starts at 17:45 and is open to all. Both groups share the same finish line, with results determined by chip timing.
The event takes place within a stunning park setting that transforms into an enchanting spectacle of lights and sounds as dusk falls. The route follows well-lit main paths through areas rich in wildlife, offering runners a chance to spot or hear nocturnal animals along their journey. Safety is paramount; the course lighting is designed to ensure visibility without disturbing the natural habitat.
All participants receive entry to the park for the day before the event begins, allowing early access from 09:45 until 16:00 (last admission at 14:00), giving you ample time to explore and prepare. The race itself is fully licensed and timed according to standard 5k regulations.
Upon crossing the finish line, runners are rewarded with a range of amenities including themed snacks and medals based on a special nocturnal animal chosen for this edition. Participants are encouraged to 'neon' up their attire but reminded not to use torches due to environmental concerns about wildlife disturbance.
