Run Hunger Off the Divide 10K/5K Run

About the event

The 15th Annual Run Hunger Off the Divide Event is a small-town, home-grown walk/run that benefits food closets on the Georgetown Divide. It's a terrific opportunity to share the love and help our neighbors, see old friends and make new ones. What we can't provide in fanfare or local news coverage, we make up for in super friendly volunteers, affordable registration, easy parking and a gorgeous course. Bring the family and a can of food for each participant and work off some pre-Thanksgiving Dinner calories among the beauty of a gentle Cool, CA foothills course. Children under 10 accompanied by their parent are free but a waiver form must be completed the day of event! A couple of important details: We never know Mother Nature's mood; we've had sunny and 70 and we've run in rain and sleet. Hope to see you this year! A GDRD Community Partner Event Over the past 14 years, Run Hunger Off the Divide has raised and donated $75,750 to local food closets. In 2025 alone, the event generated a $8,000 donation, helping provide food and support for children and families in the Georgetown Divide community.

Event Day Details

Thank you for registering for our event! We LOVE doing this with our friends, neighbors and community. We hope you have a blast this year. Pray for good weather, but we'll hold it come rain or shine (or snow or hail.....)! Plan on arriving for check-in on Thanksgiving Day between 7:45 AM and 8:15 AM. You can park in the Northside School parking lot or in the Cool Community Church lot across the street. Parking should not be a problem. We advise wearing layers. You will find an aid station (for the 10K only) at the 3 mile mark to quench your thirst and bandage your war wounds. We offer coffee and hot cocoa to warm you up pre-event and goodies afterward to reward all your hard work! Well-behaved dogs are welcome, but we do not advise strollers, as the course is fairly bumpy and can definitely get muddy. PRE-REGISTRATION September 1, 2026 through October 31, 2026 = $40 November 1, 2026 through November 20, 2026 = $50 Pre-registration closes on November 20, 2026 DAY-OF-EVENT REGISTRATION =$50. will be available from 7:30 AM closing promptly at 8:30 AM.
